A fantastic week of donations with over £300 coming in and a further £150 if I make sub 4 hours, courtesy of some very generous 2able clients. A massive thank you – please may it continue!
Training update – midweek runs were at David Lloyd this week. On Friday I ran for 1 hour at 10.5km per hour (4 hour marathon pace) which was comfortable, so with dedication and hard work sub 4 hours is looking likely.
That said, today I ran approximately 14.2 miles (at below race pace) with my Camelbak on the Castleman Trailway and a terrible stitch at around 2 hours 20 minutes caused me to walk for the bulk of the remainder, which hasn’t happened to date. Total time around 2 hours 40 minutes 🙁
I think (hope!) this was food and drink related from Saturday, so will try and make sure I get this licked for future Sunday runs.
Schedule for this week is:
- Monday 24th – 25 minute jog
- Tuesday 25th – 45 minutes steady pace
- Thursday 27th – 60 minutes off-road fartlek training
- Friday 28th – 50 minutes steady pace
- Saturday 29th – 4 Hours playing golf (I know, it doesn’t really count as running!)
- Sunday 30th – 90 minutes at a good pace (ideally over 10.5km per hour)
